Mode of action:
Canopus is a systemic Chloronicotinyl neonicotinoid insecticides with contact and stomach action readily taken up by the plant and further distributed acropetaly with good root systemic action to control the sucking insects (ricehoppers, aphids, thrips, whitefly). Through effecting a certain nerve cells by acting on a receptor protein , death occures usually in a (24-48h) but can take up to 7days depending on the mode of application. As to its performance good reliable control, high selectivity, quick knock down, protection and long residual activity are key features.
