Mode of action:

Plant Growth Regulator belonging to the growth inhibitor group. It works by releasing ethylene within plant cells, helping regulate fruit ripening, coloration, and other physiological processes influenced by ethylene

Product properties:
  • Esrel: is provided in convenient form of soluble liquid
  • Eserl: is a plant growth regulator that generates ethylene inside plant cells, which enhance maturity and coloring, especially in apples, tomatoes, bananas and grapes.
  • Esrel: is used before and after the harvest in many fruits.
  • Esrel: it is not recommended to mix with alkaline materials and solutions contains metal ions.
  • The pH of the spray solution should be reduced to be 5.5 - 6.
  • The recommended concentrations must be strictly followed and should not be increased.
  •  It is recommended to use the esrel solution immediately after preparation and not leave it for use the following day.
  • The addition of wetting/spreading agents is not recommended after adjusting the water pH.
  • For fruit trees, it is preferable to apply the spray at sunset.
  • In apple, pear, peach, and grapevines, it is recommended to spray calcium separately at a rate of 3 mL/L of water, 24 hours after spraying with esrel, in order to help prevent fruit drop.

Main Crops:

Vegetables and orchards.

Compatibility:

All mixtures should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities.

Uses and Recommendations:
Crop Application Rate Purpose of Use
Apple & Pear 1.1 ml/L water Spraying fully developed fruits to promote early ripening, improve fruit color, and enhance quality. Treatment is carried out at the beginning of physiological maturity, when ripening signs appear on a few fruits or at the onset of ripening.
Cantaloupe 1.5 ml/L water Treatment by dipping a piece of sponge in the Esrel solution and wiping the fruits. For netted varieties, treatment is performed at the beginning of net formation; for smooth varieties, treatment is performed when fruits reach their maximum size or at the beginning of physiological maturity.
Tomato 0.3 ml/L water Used for processing tomatoes. The first spray is applied after fruit set, followed by a second application one week later.
Tomato 1.1 ml/L water For fresh market varieties, four applications are made at weekly intervals, with the first application immediately after fruit set.
Grapes 0.2 ml/L water Spraying 5–8 days after fruit set to increase the diameter and size of berries in the cluster.
Grapes 1.1 ml/L water Spraying to accelerate ripening and coloring of grapes, particularly in colored varieties, at the beginning of color development.
Banana 1.6 ml/L water Bunches are dipped in the Esrel solution for one minute, then stored at 18–22°C for 4 days to accelerate ripening. Treatment is carried out when banana fruits are fully developed, indicated by the rounding of the fruits.
Cotton 5–6 ml/L water Used for leaf defoliation when approximately 50% of the cotton bolls have opened.
