Mode of action:
- Mostyn 50% EC is a highly effective larvicide used to control mosquito larvae in stagnant water, preventing their development into adult insects.
- Temephos inhibits acetylcholinesterase enzyme in the nervous system of larvae, leading to accumulation of acetylcholine, paralysis,and death before reaching the adult stage.
Target Pests:
Mosquito larvae (Culex, Anopheles, Aedes) and other disease-transmitting aquatic insects.
Application Areas:
Ponds, lakes, marshes, drains, irrigation canals, septic tanks, and stagnant water bodies.
Application Recommendation:
0.4 ml per liter for clean water
1.5 ml per liter for moderately polluted water
2 ml per liter for highly polluted water
Application Method:
Dilute with water and spray over the water surface, focusing on larval breeding sites.
Apply at early larval stages for best results.
