Abamectin 5 % EC

  • Prophyry: is an insecticide/ acaricide contains the active ingredient Abamectin which belonged to Avermectin , effective for the control of mites and some insects such as motel stages of mites, leaf miners, Thrips, psyllid and beetles. 
  • Prophyry: is applied as a foliar spray in alternating spray programs . It has translaminar properties
Mode of action:
  • Prophyry is an acaricide, insecticide It acts by stimulating the release of aminobutyric acid that activates chloride channels leading to inhibitory neurotransmitter
Product properties:
  • Prophyry has a broad-spectrum effect on several types of plant mites and pests using the lowest dose. 
  • Prophyry is absorbed quickly inside the treated plants

Application precautions:

  • Thorough coverage of foliage is essential for good mite and insect control. 
  • Control of Spider Mites: For best results, apply before a threshold of 5 spider mites per leaf is reached. 
  • Control of Leaf miner: For best results, apply against egg (to control new hatch) and early sap feeder stages of first and second generation. 
  • Control Citrus Rust mite/ Citrus, Thrips It is recommended for best results that a minimum of 0.20% horticultural or mineral oil be used in the spray mixture. Apply when mites first appear during spring, summer, and/or fall.
