Soter: is a unique pesticide containing two active ingredients. Imidacloprid and Abamectin with systemic and contact effects especially against sucking insects such as Aphids, Leaf hoppers, Thrips, Beetles and Leaf miners on Tomato, Pepper, Cabbage, Lettuce, Cauliflower, Eggplant, Beans, Carrots, Apple, Pear, Plum, Peach, Apricot, Nectarine, Tobacco and Ornamentals. Also it is used to control all species of subterranean Termites in the field.
Mode of action:
Imidacloprid Is a systemic Chloronicotinyl neonicotinoid insecticides with contact and stomach action readily taken up by the plant with good root systemic action to control the sucking insects (ricehoppers, aphids, thrips, white fly). Through affecting a certain nerve cell by acting on a receptor protein, death occurs usually in a (24- 48h) but can take up to 7days depending on the mode of application. As to its performance, a good reliable control, high selectivity, quick knock down, protection and long residual activity are key features.
Abamectin Insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach effect. Has limited plant systemic activity but exhibits translaminar movement. Acts by stimulating the release of γ-aminobutyric acid, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, it blocks transmission of signals between nerve cells or between nerve and muscle cells, thus finally activating chloride channels. Shortly after ingestion, the susceptible mites and insects become irreversibly paralyzed and die within 3 to 4 days.
