Pendimethalin 33% EC 

Tiat: has active ingredient Pendimethalin which is a pre-emergency herbicide designed to be effective control of broadleaf and narrow weeds.

Mode of action:

Tiat is pre-emergency herbicide which inhibits root and shoot growth. Pendimethalin is a member of the dinitroaniline group of herbicides. It has the inhibition of tubulin formation mode of action. It controls the weed population and prevents weeds from emerging, particularly during the crucial development phase of the crop. Its primary mode of action is to prevent plant cell division and elongation in susceptible species.

Application precautions:

  • It is a selective herbicide for the control of most annual grasses and certain broadleaf weeds. 
  • Seedbeds should be free of weeds, trash and clods at the time of application. 
  • Soils containing a high percentage of organic matter can result in poor control. It is recommended that application to soils containing a high percentage of organic matter (greater than 6%) be avoided. 
  • Crop injury may result if cold, wet weather follows planting or if it is applied to a poorly prepared seedbed. With the return of favorable growing conditions (warm weather), the crop will usually recover and resume normal growth.
